GRACE HO
Grace Ho is from Taiwan, she had her B.A. in Education, and received the teacher certificate liscense in Taiwan. She received her M.A. in Educational Psychology from New York University; at that time, she worked with Dr. Bruce Homer for her thesis research on Chinese-English bilingual literacy and phonological awareness studies. She is currently a doctoral student in Developmental Psychology program at The Graduate Center, CUNY. Her research interests now has been mainly in the areas of pediatric psychology, end-of-life care, and social-emotional development. She is recently working on her research project with Dr. David Bearison on the topic of cross-cultural perspectives about coping strategies in children with cancer. While pursuing her doctoral degree, she also studies dance with Nina Buisson and Kathy Sullivan, and works on DanceToConnect Project with Marie Aguirre. In addition, she has been under the Dance Therapy alternative route training since 2004 with Dr. Miriam Berger at Harkeness Dance Center, 92nd St Y, and she is the member of American Dance Therapy Association since 2005. Most recently, Grace assists the dance therapy session at Harkness Dance Center with movement disorder people, and also Forest Hills Care Center with elderly people. She has been worked at the Child Learning and Development Center at The Graduate Center, CUNY , as well as Child Life department at New York Presbytarian Hospital sincer year 2006. |
