Marc Aurel Nelles

   Marc received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Dance Academy of Rotterdam/The Netherlands in 1997. He also received scholarships from THE David Howard Dance Center, the Martha Graham School of Contemporary Dance and a generous grant from the German Academic Exchange Service, that took him to the U.S. in 1998, for post-academic studies.

   He has performed and worked with Randall Scott, Conny Janssen, Pieter de Ruiter and Colin Connor in the Netherlands and Avila/Weeks Dance and Ray Tadio in New York/USA, where he also started working with Nina Buisson. Mr. Nelles joined The Philadelphia Dance Company -PHILADANCO! in Philadelphia in 1999, where he performed famous works by Gene Hill Segan, Talley Beatty, Dwight Rhoden, Milton Myers, Eva Gholson, Daniel Ezralow, Fred Benjamin, Jawole Jo Zollar, Bebe Miller among others.

   In 2002, Marc returned to New York City, working with the Ramona Ganssloser TanzKunst Project and, last year, re-joining Nina Buisson/Contemporary Move.
