Devin Pullins Born and raised in Maywood, Illinois, Devin began his training at the age of 6 at the Stairway of the Stars under the direction of Lois Baumann and Heidi Renteria. At the age of eight he stopped dancing to pursue other things, but the performance bug kept calling him. At the age of 16 he was excepted to the Chicago Academy for the Arts. Upon graduation he enrolled at the Dance Conservatory at the State University of New York at Purchase . There he studied with Gayle Young, Bettijane Sills, Richard Cook, Maria Calegeria, Christine Spizzo, Kazuko Hirabyashi, and Catherine Kerr. In 1999 he received his BFA and went on to work with choreographers such as Marie D'Angelo, Johann Renvall, Kevin Wynn, Fatima, Heidi Renteria & Junella Segura. Most recently, Devin has worked with Destiny's Child and has been with Donald Byrd/The Group for the past two years. He has also worked with the Joffrey Ballet of Chicago , River North Dance Company , Puff Daddy , Aaliyah , 702, Sisqo and Busta Rhymes. In June of 2004, Devin performed as a soloist for Nina Buisson Contemporary Move at the Duke Theater for the International Dance Festival. |
