Anne Hubben

Annie Hubben began to study dance at age 16 at the New York Institute of Dance and Education with Sean McLeod.  Since then she has been an annual participant of in the New York Dance Festival in Upstate New York and presently apprentices the resident dance company, Kaleidoscope Dance Theatre. At 17, Annie spent a year studying in Italy where she danced with Cinzia Cortejosa. The following year she traveled to Ecuador to work in a comprehensive social rehabilitation program for adolescents.  While there she studied Salsa, Merengue, and the traditional Andean dances of Otavalo.
Annie is currently a junior at the Gallatin School of Individualized Studies at New York University.  She is studying mind-body medicine from both Western and Eastern perspectives, concentrating on the affects of dance, as a physical and communicative art, on a person’s wellbeing and development.  At NYU she has danced with Marcea Daiter, and continues to train at multiple studios in New York.  Annie is thrilled to be dancing with Nina Buisson Contemporary Move.
